Town Hall lose to odd goal to Pot Black.

Town Hall lost 3-2 to old foes Pot Black at a very wet Rollesby.Hall had the
brighter start but fell behind when the PB striker finished well after
looking third favourite to get to the ball.Darren Beckett used his pace to
get behind the PB defence to bring Hall level.PB regained the lead just
before the break after the ball fell kindly in the box for the PB
forward,Lee Marshall in the Hall goal did well to get a hand to it but the
ball went in off a post. The two sides were pretty well matched, but Halls
shape and organisation were called into question early in the second half,
with PB getting too much joy down Halls left resulting with a well drilled
strike from the edge of the box finding the net for 3-1.Hall battled the
back and made a game of it,the game becoming stretched with both sides
trying to find early season fitness in heavy conditions.Shane Kingdon
reduced the arrears when his cross decieved the PB keeper on his back
post. For all their efforts Hall could not find the equaliser leaving Pot
Black with the spoils 3-2.Not one of Halls better performance, but
pre-season is all about getting back into the routine of good habits and
fitness,a number of us clearly have a bit of catching up to do.Hall's MOM
Lee Marshall....some great saves.
Thanks to our friends south of the border for the game, and also to
referee Dave Bartram for officiating at short notice and having a good
game as well.Tomorrow we are at Rollesby again v Arches, but please note
earlier kick off at 2.30pm,meet ground no later than 2.00pm.Any problems
