Waveney Reserves hit top spot

NORMALITY was partially resumed this week despite there still being a council ban on the use of their pitches.

In Division One, Waveney Reserves move to the summit of the table following their single goal victory at Spexhall.

This week they travel to Norton Athletic, who maintained their 100pc record after beating Oxford Arms 5-1 with braces for Tom Hudson and Andy Green, with Paul Harriman the other scorer after a fine solo run.

The other game played saw Corton Seltic pick up their first point after drawing 2-2 at Mutford and Wrentham.

The second division saw two big guns clash at Ellingham as they played host to Suffolk Punch and shared the points 2-2.

Great Yarmouth Town Hall are the league's leading scorers following their 7-1 demolition at Crusaders while AFC Star maintained their perfect start as they beat 10-man Sole Bay Reserves 6-2.

Corton A gained their first win 4-2 at Tudor as did Hopton who scored the only goal in their match against Bungay Town A.

Norton Athletic Reserves who were trailing 2-0 at half time hit back to win 3-2 at Harleston Town Reserves.

The third division saw Waveney A run out 6-3 winners against Norman Warrior, Westhall won 3-1 against Factory Arms.

Earsham hit four for no reply against Carlton Rangers who are yet to score this season while White Horse Seltic Reserves scored a narrow 2-1 success against Marquis of Lorne.
