League Report 18th September 2010

The first division is headed by Hearts of Oak who made it three straight wins courtesy of their 3-1 win against Blundeston Magpies, Kirk Gowing with a brace and Luke Falliaze netting on yet another debut for the club.

Oxford Arms have started the season in fine style and followed up last weeks 4-0 win with a convincing 7-0 win at Barsham.

Corton & Ole Frank picked up their first 3 points winning a tight game 3-2 against Pakefield Re-United whilst the other Corton side, White Horse Seltic prop up the early table as they lost 6-3 to Pot Black whose scorers were Glen Fletcher and Darren Laws with two each, Gavin Hunt and an O.G. Fletcher also missed a penalty as he looked for a hat-trick.

Finally the points were shared at Spexhall as they held Kirkley & Pakefield A to a 2-2 draw.

The top clash in the second division saw DK Consultants collect the points in a 6-5 thriller against previously unbeaten Hopton, however the table is now headed by Crusaders on GD following a comfortable 5-0 win at a poor Norton Athletic Reserves.

Lowestoft International picked up their first win 2-0 against Mutford & Wrentham as did Earsham 2-0 at Telecom Rovers and Waveney A who came back from Ellingham with a fine 7-0 scoreline.

Two of the promoted sides clashed at Dip Farm but neither Waveney Gunners nor Spexhall Reserves could find a way through as the game ended goal less.

Bungay Town A rise up the table as they recorded their second win, 3-1 against Beccles Caxton Reserves.

Harleston Town Reserves continue to set the pace in the third division as they beat Carlton Rangers 5-1 whilst Corton White Horse Seltic Reserves continue their fine start thanks to their 4-1 win at Mutford & Wrentham Reserves.

Kirkley & Pakefield B shared the points following their 1-1 draw with Blundeston Magpies Reserves. Pete Sims with the goal.

Oxford Arms Reserves drew 3-3 for the second time this season, this time against Factory Arms whilst Royal Oak picked up their first win 5-1 against new boys FC Eastport.

Finally Lowestoft Albion were on the end of another heavy defeat 18-0 at Westhall.

There were also two sides involved in Norfolk Junior Cup action. Gt Yarmouth Town Hall secured their second round berth thanks to a 5-2 win against Norwich Medics whilst Norton Athletic will have to replay their tie following their 3-3 draw in Kings Lynn against Lynn Napier. Norton scorers were Rory Spinks 2 and Andy Green.
