League Report 13th November

Hearts of Oak opened up a four point lead at the top of the first division as they capitalised on inactive Oxford Arms by beating Corton White Horse Seltic 6-1 with goals from Jonny Williams 3, Kirk Gowing, Jake Arms & Micki Williams.

Norton Athletic remain third but slipped to a heavy 5-2 defeat at Blundeston Magpies who struck three late goal to win. Steven Hak scored both Norton’s goals taking him to ten for the season.

Spexhall have hit a bit of form and this week they defeated Gt Yarmouth Town Hall 4-1 and as such move into 4th place.

For the second week running Corton & Ole Frank failed to raise a side so Barsham were handed the win whilst Pakefield Re-United with some notable signings of late picked up a fine 6-1 win against Pot Black.

It was a top versus bottom clash in the second division where the leaders returned from Norton Athletic Reserves with a 6-1 winning margin, Dominic Moore scoring the consolation goal for Norton.

Waveney Gunners were defeated for the first time as they lost a thrilling match 4-3 against Hopton who hope to have a say in the title this year.

Mutford & Wrentham remain sandwiched between the two following a 2-0 success against Beccles Caxton Reserves.

Crusaders are fifth following a 5-0 winning margin at Waveney A whilst Spexhall Reserves continue to hit form with a 2-0 win against Telecom Rovers.

Bungay Town A hit 7 goals at Ellingham whom scored just one in reply whilst Earsham pull away from the bottom two with a good 3-1 win at Lowestoft International.

The Reserves at Corton White Horse Seltic continue to set the pace at the top of the third division as they ran out 9-0 winners at their Blundeston Magpies counterparts and their lead increased to 5 points as Marquis of Lorne were held to a 4-4 draw by Royal Oak.

FC Eastport are now in second place after their 3-2 win over previous occupants Mutford & Wrentham Reserves.

Kirkley & Pakefield B ran out big 7-1 winners against Harleston Town Reserves whilst Factory Arms scored a 2-0 success at Southwold Town Reserves.

Carlton Rangers sent Lowestoft Albion to their tenth consecutive defeat in winning 6-0 whilst Westhall scored a narrow 2-1 win against Oxford Arms Reserves.
