The semi finalists of the Brighty Driving Tuition sponsored Mike Johnson KO Cup are now known following this weekends quarter final ties.

The stand out tie paired the top two in the first division Oxford Arms and Waveney Reserves and a tight affair ensued with title favourites Oxford netting a stoppage time winner to progress 3-2.

DK Consultants who head the second division had the result of the round in knocking out in form first division side Pot Black by a 6-2 margin.

Barsham defeated GT Yarmouth Town Hall 4-1 whilst Spexhall hard to work hard for their semi final berth as they beat local rivals Bungay Town A 2-1.

Onto league action and things got even better for Oxford as title challengers Hearts of Oak lost for the second week running, this time Pakefield Re-United the winners by a 2-1 scoreline.

Norton Athletic are now in second place following a fine 7-2 dismantling of in form Blundeston Magpies. Andy Green helping himself to five goals.

Kirkley & Pakefield A inflicted another heavy defeat on Corton White Horse Seltic as they romped to a 9-1 success.

With the top two in the second division in cup action it was Waveney Gunners who profited most as they put their recent run of poor results behind them with a 4-0 win over Crusaders.

Hopton on the back of reaching the Primary Cup final last week are up to fourth after their fine 3-1 win at Mutford & Wrentham.

The remaining games played all featured teams who have one eye on the trap door as Telecom Rovers slipped to a 3-0 reverse at a fast improving Earsham.

Beccles Caxton Reserves gained three valuable points at Ellingham whom are firmly rooted to the foot of the division following Norton Athletic Reserves fine 2-1 win at Spexhall Reserves. Norton are still in danger but 3 wins in their last 4 games has given them a fighting chance.

The Big Question of the week is will hearts of Oak complet their remaining fixtures? and with back to back defeats could hearts drop in to Div2? My bet is heart will fold before the end of the season,

Shame really a once great team unable to take defeat!!!!!!

P.S Well done to DK will be a force in Div 1 next season

What have i got to say now??? firstly we will still be here for the duration ie complete all our fixtures and much like pot black pakefield were the better side on the day we have lost two big players in the last couple of weeks that i am working on replacing but thats no excuse as agwin we were beaten by the better team on the day and other than the goal i cant remember making a decent chance but hey ho there is always next week, i am under no illusions that we are hated amongst the league and im probably one of the biggest culprits for this over the years with my actions on the pitch but that cant be changed now so i dont dwell on it but we will finish the season and we will be back next season and so on. If our time of domjnating this league has come to an end so what!!! we will still play on and try and have fun doin it so even though your sad little obsessions amuse me they certainly dont bother me and to this i will even say please, can you at least put a name to a post that slags me off so i can say " hello " next time we meet:-)
