Ellingham to represent league in Cup Final

Ellingham won the all league battle with Norton Res. to reach the Norfolk Primary Cup final.

In front of a healthy crowd Ellingham drew first blood as they punished a defensive error however Norton gradually got back in the tie and deservidley drew level early in the second half as a corner was turned in by an Ellingham defender.

With the game remaining tight it ws no surprise that no further goals were scored and the game entered extra time.

Norton thought they had won the tie when Paul Martin headed goalwards only for it to be cleared off the line and then with 2 minutes remaining an opportunist long range strike sailed into the net to giving Ellingham the win and a cup final place.

Ellingham's opponents are still unknown as West Lynn SSC and Lynn Docklands coud not find a goal between them and they will have to face each other again this week.
