Weekend Preview

In a new feature for the league we will try and preview this weekends league and cup action.

We will start with the Norfolk Primary Cup where the leagues two remaining representitives square off as Norton Athletic Res. take on Ellingham. Ellingham probaby go into the game as slight favourites due to recent good league form. The sides have already met twice in the league this season with both games being one by the home side. Norton winning 4-3 and Ellingham winning 8-1. Whatever happens the league will be represented in the final.

Onto the first division and the two title challengers face difficult away games against the 4th and 5th placed sides Waveney and Spexhall. At the foot of the table Sole Bay United Res will be looking to avenge last weeks 3-0 defeat to Carlton Rangers in a quick return fixture whilst bottom side Corton Res tackle a Pot Black side fresh from their mid season break in Bratislava. Wrentham and Oxford Arms meet again whilst Kirkley & Pakefield A travel to CDS Waveney.

There is no doubting the game of the day in division two as leaders Hearts of Oak take on second place Barsham. A home win would increase the lead to 7 points whilst an away win would really throw open the title race. White Horse Seltic and Magpies look to keep the pressure on the top two as they take on strugglers Lacon Arms and Crusaders whereas Suffolk Punch will be looking for a long overdue win against Royal Standard. In a mid table game Waveney Gunners take on Pakefield Re-United and in the final fixture Caxton Res tackle Oulton Broad & Notley's Res.

The third division also sees a top of the table clash as leaders Ole Frank host Hopton White Hart. Blundeston Plough will be looking to bounce back from last weeks set back at Earsham whilst the bottom two sides also meet as Factory Arms host CDS Waveney Res. Bungay Town A will be looking to keep recent good form going against Magpies Res. Marquis of Lorne entertain Spexhall Res. whilst Westhall 2007 entertain Oxford Arms Res in need of a win in their bid to avoid finishing in the bottom two.
