Snow disrupts programme.

Well it was almost a complete cancellation of the league programme as the snow fell at just the wrong time leaving almost all the pitches covered with frozen snow and therefore unplayable.

There were just 3 venues that escaped with Southwold Common, Ellingham and Spexhall declared playable. On the common Sole Bay Res. moved off the bottom of the table with a very good 5-1 victory over Oxford Arms. Corton Res. are now the basement side. In division two Ellingham recorded a 4-1 win over Oulton Broad & Notley’s Res. whilst in division three Spexhall Res. ran out 3-0 winners over Factory Arms.

The league hopes to return to a full programme this coming weekend but there will be some changes in the fixtures particulary in the second division as Waveney Gunners and Norton Athletic Res. will finally hope to be able to complete their outstanding knockout cup tie.

Finally the league will have a representative in the Norfolk Primary Cup Final as Norton were drawn at home to Ellingham. The tie set to be played next weekend 16th Feb. Any support welcome.
