Weekend Preview 22nd March

As I write this preview there is a distinct possibility of snow so hopefully it will stay away and this weekends programme is not affected especially as its cup semi final day for the leagues two competitions.

In the knock-out cup many people are hoping for a repeat of last years final as both Hearts of Oak and Norton Athletic have been kept apart. Standing in their way are the Waveney's with Youth travelling to Hearts and CDS entertaining Norton. Both games take place at Normanston Park.

In the John Moore shield many people's favourites to reach the final are Hopton White Hart and Bungay Town A. Both face away encounters as Hopton travel to Oxford Arms and Bungay make the short trip to Westhall 2007 who will be hoping to put a miserable first league campaign behind them as their bid to reach Crown Meadow.

Due tot he semi finals there is limited league action with just two fixtures taking place n the first division. These see 3rd place Wrentham looking to consolidate their place as they entertain Sole Bay United Res. Kirkley & Pakefield are also at home as they face Carlton Rangers.

The second division sees ten teams in action where leaders Hearts of Oak will be looking to increase their advantage over the inactive Barsham with a home fixture against Norton Athletic Res who have recorded 2-0 wins in their last two games.

The big game comes at Kessingland as the bottom two square off as Crusaders take on Lacon Arms. A win for Crusaders will increase their gap to 7 points with just 12 remaining whilst Lacons must win to keep their survival hopes alive.

Blundeston Magpies will be looking to put a couple of poor results behind them as they entertain Oulton Broad & Notley's Res. County cup finalists Ellingham travel to Waveney Gunners and White Horse Seltic go to Pakefield Re-United in what are no more than mid-table clashes.

There are two fixtures in the bottom division as Earsham host CDS Waveney Res and LIFC travel to Marquis of Lorne.

Good luck to all teams playing in the semi finals and lets pray the weather relents.
