Weekend Preview Saturday 29th March

As we enter the final furlong of the season the first and second divisional titles are still up for grabs as are all the issues at the bottom.

There are 4 fixtures in the first division where Norton Athletic will be looking for 3 points to reduce the gap over the inactive leaders Hearts of Oak. They entertain CDS Waveney, whom they beat last week 5-3 in the league cup semi final and have a fully fit squad to choose from.
There is a big fixture at the foot of the division as Corton Res tackle Sole Bay United Res. Sole Bay have bagged two points more than Corton and do have a game in hand and if they win they will ensure that Corton are relegated. A Win for Corton however and it could well be Sole Bay that bite the bullet.
The battle for 3rd place continues this week with current occupiers Wrentham without a fixture. They have a four point cushion over Spexhall who will be using up their game in hand at Kirkley & Pakefield who are two point further adrift.
The final fixture sees beaten semi finalists Waveney Youth travel to Oxford Arms who are looking to finish the season well.

The second division title race is well and truly on following Hearts of Oak Res. surprise defeat last week. They are a point clear of Barsham but from a game more. This week Hearts entertain Waveney Gunners whilst Barsham host and out of form Ellingham whom have lost every game since reaching the Primary Cup Final. Blundeston Magpies are in third place but have played as many as 3 games more than those around them and are this week inactive. Caxton Res. could go third if they can beat Pakefield Re-United by 4 goals and 3 points could see them 4 points behind the leaders and still in with a shout.
Bottom side Lacon Arms entertain Oulton Broad & Notley's Res whilst second bottom Crusaders travel to Corton White Horse Seltic. Finally in form Norton Athletic Res. who are looking for a top 6 finish travel to Royal Standard.

In the third division champions Ole Frank will be looking to finish their season in style as they host lowly Factory Arms. The real battle is now for the runners up spot between Blundeston Plough and Hopton White Hart. Plough have a point advantage from a game more and this week they should pick up 3 more points in their quest at basement side Westhall 2007 whilst Hopton entertain Earsham. Spexhall Res. and Marquis of Lorne square off in a mid table clash whilst CDS Waveney Res entertain Oxford Arms Res in the other fixture.
