Top Teams all win across the divisions.

It’s as you were at the top of all 3 divisions as the top two in each all collected 3 points. In the first division leaders Hearts of Oak went on the rampage as they scored a goal every 5 minutes as they raced to an 18-0 demolition of Sole Bay United Res. This included 4 players hitting hat-tricks. Jonny Williams helped himself to 4, Micki Williams, Luke Falliaze & Barry Teasedale hit tricks, Fisher 2 and single strikes from Atkinson, Taylor & Humphries.

Nearest challengers Norton Athletic had a tricky looking tie at 3rd placed Kirkley & Pakefield A on the main Walmer road pitch however they produced a solid display to take the points with two stunning second half goals. Andy Green opened the scoring from 30 yards with an arrowing drive and Ryan Hills headed home following great build up play from Carl Cooper. The defeat sees Kirkley drop to 6th place. The new occupiers of 3rd place are Wrentham whom edged past Waveney 2-1 whilst Spexhall are now 4th following their comfortable 6-0 win over Oxford Arms.

Pot Black on the back of 6 straight victories had to settle for a point as they were held 1-1 by CDS Waveney.

The second division saw Hearts of Oak complete a quick double over Ellingham this time winning 6-2. Barsham remain a point adrift as they won 3-0 at Crusaders however Blundeston Magpies challenge took a dent as they went down to a goal in each half at Norton Athletic Res. Chris Morris and Simon Tarver on target for the village side. Royal Standard gained a good 6-2 win over an inconsistent Pakefield Re-United whiles Caxton Res. keep in with a snit of promotion as they netted a 2-0 victory over mid table Waveney Gunners. Clubs are also reminded that Suffolk Punch have been forced to withdraw and as such all records have been deleted.

The top two in the third division both netted victories as Ole Frank saw past Earsham 2-1 and Hopton White Hart defeated basement side Factory Arms 6-0 at Dip Farm. Blundeston Plough stay a point ahead of Hopton albeit from a game more as they won 2-1 at Marquis of Lorne.

Bungay Town A’s fine form continued as they won 4-0 at Oxford Arms Res. LIFC scored the only goal in their fixture with Spexhall whom they overtake into 5th place and the basement clash between CDS Waveney Res. and Westhall 2007 ended all square at 2-2.

Clubs are advised that they can keep up with the latest information on the leagues website: http://lowestoftdistrictleague.blogspot.com/
