Season Start Date.

The season will commence on Saturday 6th September 2008. If your club has their own pitch and wish to start the previous week (30th August) then please inform Mike Johnson, likewise if you require a free week then please inform Mike asap.

On a side note please try and source your own referees for pre season friendlies and not go through Richard May who is have a well earned rest.

Division Make up for 2008/09

1st Division:

Hearts of Oak, Norton Athletic, Wrentham, Spexhall, Kirkley A, Waveney Res, Pot Black, Oxford Arms, AFC Bayfields, Sole Bay Res, FC Hearts, Barsham, Caxton Res & Blundeston Magpies.

2nd Division:

Corton A, White Horse Seltic, Waveney Gunners, Pakfield Re-United, Norton Athltic Res, Oultn Broad & Notley's Res, Elingham, Tudor FC, Crusaders, Ole Frank, Hopton White Hart, Bungay Town A, Oxford Arms Res & Lowestoft International.

3rd Division:

Lake Lothing, Spexhall Res, Earsham, Marquis of Lorne, Waveney A, Blundeton Magpies Res, Factory Arms, Westhall 2007, Gt Yarmouth Town Hall, Beccles Rangers, Kirkley B, Suffolk Punch 2008, Harleston Res & White Horse Seltic Res.

All change in the Notleys league.

Following the AGM the can confirm the structure for the 2008/09 season:

First of all the following clubs have changed their names:
Hearts of Oak Res - FC Hearts
Carlton Rangers - AFC Bayfields
Lacons Ams - Lake Lothing
Royal Standard - Tudor FC
Corton Res. - Corton A
Waveney Youth - Waveney Res.
CDS Waveney Res. - Waveney A.

The league can also confrm that CDS Waveney have withdrawn from the league to take a place in the Anglian Combination where they will be know as Waveney Youth. Blundeston Plough have also withdrawn from the third division.

The following promoton and relegation issues are as follows:

Division 1 - Relegated, Corton A,

Division 2 - Promoted, FC Hearts, Barsam, Beccles Caxton Res & Blundeston Magpies.
Relegated, Lake Lothing
Division 3 - Promoted, Ole Frank, Hopton White Hart, Bungy Town A, Oxford Arms Res & Lowestoft International.

New clubs coming into the third division are:
Gt Yarmouth Town Hall, Beccles Rangers (part of Beccles Town), White Horse Seltic Res, Kirkley & Pakefeld B, Harleston Town Res & Suffolk Punch 2008.

On Tuesday the Notley's Lowestoft & District held its AGM where the winners of the yearly awards were announced.
