Suffolk County Cup Draws Made.

This years Suffolk FA County Cup draws have been made. In the first round the teams are regionalised to cut down on travelling expenses and the draws are as follows:

to be played 17th October 2009

Blundeston Magpies v Hearts of Oak
Beccles caxton v Spexhall
Ole Frank v Halesworth Town
Corton White Horse Seltic v Mutford & Wrentham
Pot Black v Oxford Arms
Barsham v Kirkley & Pakefield A
Waveney v AFC Star

to be played 26th September 2009

Crusaders v Norman Warrior
Westhall v Suffolk Punch
Corton A v Factory Arms
Carlton Rangers v Halesworth Town Res.

League AGM & 2009/10 Season

The league recently held it AGM and there are a few changes to note for the coming season.

Name Changes:

Wrentham to Mutford & Wrentham
Oulton Broad & Notley's to FC Star
Lake Lothing to Norman Warrior.

Teams competing:

At the AGM it was confirmed that first division FC Hearts would be withdrawing from the league however there were two new teams entering the competition. These being Carlton FC & Mutford & Wrentham Reserves.

Constitution for the 2009/10 Season:

The league structure for the coming season will be as follows:

Division 1:

Barsham, Beccles Caxton Res, Blundeston Magpies, Corton White Horse Seltic, Hearts of Oak, Kirkley & Pakefield A, Mutford & Wrentham, Norton Athletic, Ole Frank, Oxford Arms, Pot Black, Spexhall & Waveney Res.

Division 2:
Bungat Town A, Corton A, Crusaders, Ellingham, FC Star, Gt Yarmouth Town Hall, Harleston Town Res, Hopton White Hart, Lowestoft International, Norton Athletic Res, Pakefield Re-United, Solebay United Res, Suffolk Punch & Tudor FC.

Division 3:

Blundeston Magpies Res, Carlton FC, Corton White Horse Seltic Res, Earsham, Factory Arms, Kirkley & Pakefield B, Mutford & Wrentham Res, Marquis of Lorne, Norman Warrior,Oxford Arms Res, Spexhall Res, Waveney A, Waveney Gunners & Westhall.

The season will commence on Saturday 5th September.

At the meeting there were also the 3 annual awards presented, these being:

Secretary of the Year
Waveney Fair Play Award
Referees Sporting Award.

All three awards were won by Factory Arms with their secretary Mark Sampson there to collect on behalf of the club.
