The first division title race now looks an interesting affair as leaders Oxford Arms lost for the second time as they went down 2-0 at Spexhall.
Norton Athletic closed the gap to 3 points albeit from a game more following their slender 1-0 win at Gt Yarmouth Town Hall, however Norton and Oxford are yet to meet this season.
Third placed Waveney Reserves were handed a walkover as opponents Pakefield Re-United failed to raise a side whilst fellow contenders Hearts of Oak picked up a 7-1 win against Corton White Horse Seltic.
Pot Black who could still have a say as they have to face all the top teams recorded a fine 2-0 win against Blundeston Magpies to climb above them into 4th place.
Elsewhere Barsham gained a much needed win in beating Kirkley & Pakefield A 2-1.
The top 5 of the second division all picked up three points. Maintaining their 6 point advantage are DK Consultants who defeated Telecom Rovers 4-1. Waveney Gunners remain second following their 2-1 success against Earsham whilst Hopton picked up a fine 2-1 win against Mutford & Wrentham.
Further tight games saw Bungay Town A return from Norton Athletic Reserves with the points following an own goal whilst 5th placed Spexhall Reserves returned from Crusaders with a 2-1 win.
Ellingham’s misery continued as they were beaten 5-0 at Lowestoft International whilst Waveney A picked up a much needed three points in their relegation battle as for the third week running they were involved in a high scoring game this time winning 8-4 at Beccles Caxton Reserves.
The top three in the third division also picked up maximum points as leaders Corton White Horse Seltic Reserves won 3-1 against Carlton Rangers, second placed Mutford & Wrentham Reserves won 5-0 against Westhall and third placed FC Eastport won 5-0 against Lowestoft Albion.
4th placed Harleston Town Reserves lost to the only goal against Royal Oak as did Blundeston Magpies in their encounter with a fast improving Factory Arms.
Finally 5th placed Kirkley & Pakefield B were on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline against Southwold Town Reserves.
