Barsham net promotion point.

Barsham won promotion to the top division by collecting the point they needed against second division champions Hearts of Oak Res. after a battling 2-2 draw to steal the runner’s up berth from Caxton Res.

Corton White Horse Seltic will finish a respectable 5th in their first season in the second division as they won a tight game 2-1 over Norton Athletic Res. for whom Paul Martin scored. Lacon Arms sorry season ended with a 6-1 defeat at home to Royal Standard whilst Ellingham went down 2-1 at home to Crusaders.

In the first division the programme was completed with Hearts of Oak making it 11 consecutive clean sheets as they accounted for Carlton Rangers 13-0 with Ben Le Compte and Adam Taylor notching hat-tricks, the Williams brothers 2 apiece and other strikes for Hammersley, Fisher & Atkinson. The final game of the division saw Sole Bay United Res. defeat relegated Corton Res. 5-3.

Just two games to complete the third division where champions Ole Frank beat Factory Arms 5-1 and Earsham drew 2-2 with Oxford Arms Res.

On Friday night Bungay Town A won the John Moore Shield as they beat Hopton White Hart 3-2.

This Friday see the KO Cup Final at Crown Meadow between holders Norton Athletic and Hearts of Oak. KO 6.30pm Admission £2/£1.
