Player Registrations

Following the management committee meeting last night 3 more clubs have been deducted 3 points for playing inelligible players taking the total to 8 so far this season and the league would like to issue the following statement to all clubs:

As a league we have a standard rule that playing an inelligible is punished with a 3 point deduction for the club and a 3 month ban and £10 fine for the player.

So far this season 8 clubs have been affected.

Whilst the league currently allows the signing of players on the day it is the clubs responsibilty to check with either Mike Johnson or Brian Gower if the player in question has already registered for another club in the league.

It appears that during a time of player shortage some clubs are just taking the players word that he has not signed for another club within the league.

If you need to sign a player on the day please try and check with Mike Johnson 01502 565518 or Brian Gower 01986 892916 before playing them to see if a fellow league clubs holds that players registration.

If you are unable to contact the above then please try and refrain from playing the player until you have checked, if you must play the player then please beware of the punishment if it does turn out they have signed for a fellow club.

Playing a player that has not completed a registration also come under the above punishment so once again if you are not sure then please check with the league.
